As a first-generation pilot, Michael G. always knew he would fly planes. He became fascinated with jets flying over his house when he was young, and decided to chase his dream as he got older.
He was exposed to United’s culture while training in Denver and realized he wanted to be a part of an organization that takes an active role in shaping new pilots like himself.
He worked at United Aviate Academy (UAA) as a Pilot Development Facilitator before becoming a Line Check Airmen, and then completed his flight training with Aviate’s United Express carrier partner, CommuteAir.
“As a career changer, Aviate provided me with an opportunity to follow my dream and fly for United,” Michael shared.
Now he’s achieved his childhood dreams and is working as an IAH (Houston)-based 737 First Officer.
