Growing up, James couldn’t stop thinking of aviation and dreamt of becoming a pilot.

He made his dreams come true when he attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, instructed at the United Aviate Academy, joined CommuteAir, where he flew as a Captain and First Officer, before transitioning to United through the Aviate program.

“I wanted to be a pilot ever since I can remember. Aviate was the most secure path to work at my dream airline, and it was a great opportunity to connect with people that I would’ve never met if it weren’t for [the program],” James explained.
