After being disappointed with his undergraduate university for not having a physics major, Gary chose aeronautics as his focus instead and the rest was history.

“I was hooked by the idea of systems knowledge,” Gary shared.

Gary went to Phoenix, AZ to build his hours toward his ATP requirement after college and became a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) at what is now the United Aviate Academy. From there, Gary flew with Air Wisconsin, one of Aviate’s United Express partners, which is how he learned of the Aviate program.

“I made the right choice with United and the Aviate program,” Gary said.
