United to visit two Aviate HBCU partners this November

To raise awareness and generate excitement for the vast career opportunities that United offers, United’s People Impact, Pilot Hiring and leadership teams will be visiting two HBCU partner universities this month.

HBCU partner visits:

• Hampton University – Thursday, November 14
• Delaware State University (DSU) – Wednesday, November 20

Aviate is proud to have both Hampton University and DSU as part of our university partner ecosystem. Eligible current, and former, students and instructors from these universities can apply to Aviate, and upon acceptance, receive a conditional job offer as a United pilot.

United leaders including Houston-hub (IAH) Vice President Phil Griffith and Captain Theresa Claiborne will be in attendance.

Throughout each event, attendees will have the chance to:

• Listen to VP Phil Griffith speak about the life of a HBCU alum
• Panel discussions from Aviate and Tech Ops representatives with a feature from Captain Claiborne
• Round-table discussions featuring presentations and more
