United’s Chicago-based (ORD) B737 First Officer Kirk K. has been mesmerized with aircraft since he was four years old. When he joined a local skydiving club at age 16, the feeling of being in the air inspired him to make it a career. Kirk worked hard to get his Private Pilot’s Certificate and earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
After college, Kirk joined the United States Air Force where he became a helicopter instructor and then joined one of Aviate’s United Express carrier partners. While working with this partner, he applied to Aviate, knowing it was most secure path to United, where he has now developed a love of flying the 737.
“Aviate was the best way to get hired by United,” Kirk shared. “I’m looking forward to a long and successful career here.”
